Thanks for the great classes recently.  I learned a ton! 

In fact, I made the ciabatta dough two days ago, and it was a CARBON COPY of what we made in class (including the sticky mess!).  I figure if you can teach me, you can teach anyone, so well done. 

Q for you.  I went to GFS the other day to buy the large container of instant yeast for $4 (or $7 or whatever).  They didn't have anything like that in stock, nor could they find a corresponding item in their catalog.  What exactly do you buy from them up there?

I called the local GFS store here in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti on Carpenter Road.  I found they carry SAF Instant Yeast a 1 pound package for $2.99.  It's located in the baking ingredients isle.  If your still having trouble finding it at your local GFS.  We are happy to sell you what you need here at the Bakeshop.  Let us know if we can be of any other help.
