Want to learn to create five very different, beautiful and delicious cakes and go home with them too? Then join us for this cake lover's dream weekend! We'll make sponge cake, butter cake, flourless cake, lady fingers, butter cream, and fondant. You'll also learn techniques for splitting cake layers, crumb coating, icing, rolling fondant, butter cream piping and basic decorating. You'll learn these recipes and skills while making a couple of the Bakehouse's most popular cakes- the "ribbon cake", an all American butter cake with chocolate butter cream and fondant ribbons and Hummingbird cake, a southern classic with pineapple, pecan, banana, and coconut. Then we'll make a few European Coffeehouse classics- the Austrian cardinal slice with espresso and two Hungarian tortas, the Esterhazy with walnuts and Rigó Jancsi with dark chocolate and rum.

You'll leave BAKE! with several tested recipes, the knowledge to recreate them at home, a full stomach and five complete cakes you made in class.
