In this hands-on class, learn to make your own buttery, laminated puff pastry. We'll start with the very popular Bakehouse sweet treat, the Palmier, a crisp caramelized French cookie. We'll also make savory Cheese Straws with Parmigiano Reggiano®. We'll then show you how to make Turnovers. Get expert tips on making delicious and oh-so-versatile puff pastry from scratch. These are great recipes and skills to have, especially for those who like to entertain.
You'll leave the BAKE! class with our recipes, the knowledge to recreate them at home, and everything you made in class, including palmiers, cheese straws, and turnovers.
In-Person: We'll end class with a tasting of what we made and you'll leave with puff pastry dough to bake at home later as well as some great coupons. If you are traveling more than an hour to attend, you may want to bring a cooler and ice pack to class with you for storing your bake-at-home puff pastry dough on the ride home
Virtual: You’ll have the option of making 2 out of the 3 recipes we'll be making in the class. If you want to make all 3 recipes, you'll just need a second batch of puff pastry dough, which also freezes beautifully should you have any left over after making your third item.

Basic Pastry Baking Kit
Our Basic Pastry Kit is ideal for newer pastry bakers, and includes tools we typically use for baked goods like scones, cookies, and brownies. It comes packed with the following equipment: a bowl scraper, a bench knife, an oven thermometer, ten sheets of parchment paper, a small pastry brush, a small offset spatula, 1 oz portion scoop, and a french rolling pin.
