Our BAKE!-cations® are the ultimate experience for the home baker! We guide you through a comprehensive education in bread and pastry techniques in a fun, exciting, relaxed and always hands-on classroom full of good humor and expert instruction. We feature both week-long and weekend BAKE!-cations® that include breakfast and lunch everyday, and we promise that you'll need to bring along an empty suitcase to bring home all the great stuff you've made.

BAKE!-cation Weekend: Bread 2.0

Experience the process behind a wide range of breads, including making your own sourdough starter, poolish and rye sour. In two action packed days you'll bake parker house rolls, bagels, english muffins, fougasse, bread made with Michigan Westwind Mill flour, pumpernickel raisin bread, whole wheat sourdough and our all time best seller Rustic Italian. Your weekend also includes breakfast and lunch each day! While you're here, enjoy the great restaurants, farmer's markets and theaters Ann Arbor has to offer. 

You'll leave BAKE! with our recipes, the knowledge to recreate them at home, a full tummy, bags of bread you made in class and great coupons.

BAKE!-cation Weekend: Pastry

Join us for an action packed two-day baking getaway! Together we'll make some of our favorite pastries including ginger scones, apple pie, cinnamon rolls, hot cocoa cake, croissants, angel food cake, eclairs, lemon pound cake and savory strudel. You'll get hands-on practice with a variety of techniques such as stretching strudel dough, rolling pie crust and piping pate choux. Your BAKE!-cation includes breakfast and lunch each day. While you're here enjoy the great restaurants, farmer's markets and theaters Ann Arbor has to offer.

BAKE!-cation Weekend: Savory

When we think of baking for many of us only bread and sweets come to mind. A whole big world of baking is actually related to making savory items. Join us for two joyful days of using our baking skills to make full flavored savory entrees and appetizers. We’ll make parmesan pepper bread, savory strudel, Indian flat bread called naan, Hungarian cheese rolls called pogacsa, New York style pizza, and more!


If you are coming from out of town, we'd be happy to assist you with a hotel. Since this is a U of M homecoming weekend, we have reserved several rooms 1 mile from here for $213 a night plus tax, on October 31st and November 1st. Please call us at 734-761-7255.
