Our BAKE!-cations® are the ultimate experience for the home baker! We guide you through a comprehensive education in bread and pastry techniques in a fun, exciting, relaxed and always hands-on classroom full of good humor and expert instruction. BAKE!-cation Weekend: Bread 2.0

Zingerman's Bread Recipe
Spend a weekend making bread with us! We've created this exciting class (with different recipes than our original weekend) for those want to immerse themselves in bread baking. Join us for a wide range of bread making experiences and delicious recipes. You'll make several "little" breads -buttery Parker House rolls, chewy bagels and English muffins, as well as classic loaves like fougasse, pumpernickel raisin, and our all time best seller Rustic Italian bread. Your BAKE!-cation weekend includes two breakfasts and two lunches. You'll head home with our recipes, the knowledge to recreate them and all the bread you made in class (enough to fill a suitcase). As one of our longtime bakers Aron Gannon says "It's gonna be nice."

BAKE!-cation Weekend: Pastry 2.0

Zingerman's pastry baking class

There are so many delicious and interesting pastries to make we thought we'd create a 2nd version of our popular weekend class for all you baking enthusiasts. Join us to travel through the U.S. for brownies, doughnuts, cupcakes and a whole grain muffin to Europe for danish, mandelbrot (Jewish biscotti), and countryside tarts. We'll end our journey in North Africa with a Tunisian orange cake. You'll learn a useful range of baking techniques from yeasted dough creation to tart dough mixing and rolling to cupcake decorating. Your BAKE!-cation weekend includes two breakfasts and two lunches. You'll head home with our recipes, the knowledge to recreate them and all the pastries you made in class (enough to fill a suitcase). This experience will leave you with sweet memories guaranteed.

In this 2 day action packed baking extravaganza you'll learn the wide variety of baking techniques behind a savory line up of baked goods. The roster includes ham and cheese croissants, parmesan pepper bread, New York style pizza, quiche Lorraine, pasties, maple bacon doughnuts and more! Your BAKE!-cation includes breakfast and lunch each day.

Zingerman's weekend baking class
Even more baking action in this new 3 day BAKE!-cation full of sweet and savory recipes that are the top picks of Zingerman’s Bakehouse staff. You’ll learn a wide variety of techniques including making bread starters and poolish, forming a flaky pie crust, frying, dough fermentation, cooking pastry cream, kneading dough, and more. Together we’ll make a laundry list of all time favorites including Maple Sandwich Cookies, Ginger Jump Up cookies, Bacon Pecan Sandies, Buenos Aires Brownies, Crullers, Rhubarb Pie, Coconut Cream Pie, Boston Cream Pie, Somodi Kálacs, Peppered Bacon Bread, Scallion Walnut Bread, Chocolate Sourdough Bread, Brioche Buns, Focaccia with Caramelized Onions, Walnuts and Gorgonzola, and French Baguettes.
