Bread Tasting--Let's Break Bread Together

Join Amy Emberling, longtime Managing Partner at Zingerman's Bakehouse, for a fun and delicious evening of bread tasting. It's been 32 years since the Bakehouse first opened, and a lot has changed in the world of American bread. Amy will share some fun stories about the Bakehouse's history and walk you through the trends and challenges bakers have faced over the past few decades. 

The heart of the evening will be all about understanding—and critically tasting—different types of bread. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by the many bread options or confused by terms like hydration level and high extraction flour, this night is for you!

Amy will walk you through the main categories of bread, the best ways to use them, and the techniques and ingredients that make each one unique.
