EATERLAND Recipes and Stories from Across the United States - Demo Class

Eater.com is our go-to website for restaurant recommendations across the United States.  If you're not familiar with the site we highly suggest that you check it out. Eater just launched its second cookbook, Eaterland: Recipes and Stories from Across the United States (2026)*, and our recipe for Pączki is in it! To celebrate Eater.com and their new cookbook, we're holding a demonstration class.

Come to watch, learn, and taste as we demonstrate 3 recipes from the book: Turkey Rice Meatballs, Killed Salad, and a Sweet Tea Chess Pie. We'll be serving abundant samples as we go. Amy Cavanaugh, Eater's Midwest authority will join us virtually to tell us all about the book. Here's a short preview:

Eaterland: Recipes and Stories From Across the United States features the iconic dishes that define American cuisine. It’s chock-full of recipes from every corner of the country and it takes the reader into the minds of the chefs behind the food for a look at the local ingredients and traditions that make each region special. Our friends at Eater say, “we’ve found ourselves repeatedly drawn to hyper-regional dishes—from Texas’s beloved Frito pie to the french fry-topped Pittsburgh salad. These dishes, beloved to those in-the-know, and the local chefs who champion them, usually find their way onto the maps and guides we’re known for."

*Price of the demonstration class includes a copy of the cookbook!

Our classes (except kids camps) are for adults 17 & up.
