For kids ages 12-14.
Drop off your kids for some hands-on learning and fun, then pick them up and enjoy tasting what they made. This camp is designed for kids who have already taken our Baking Basics Camp or are more experienced in the kitchen (and fall within the appropriate age range).
Students will get a bread-ucation as they bake focaccia, bagels, our classic Jewish Rye bread, and a Challah braid. We’ll also be demonstrating freshly milling flour for the rye sour, a starter used for our Jewish Rye. They’ll make pastries, too: a Boston Cream Pie, a chocolate cream pie with a homemade crust, and pâte à choux for eclairs or Paris Brest.
This is our current plan for the class and we will make every effort to provide the menu that is described but it is possible that a dish could change, please trust that we will make your child’s experience amazing! If you have dietary restrictions that this menu does not accommodate, we are sometimes able to leave ingredients out, but we are not able to make substitutions.
