Please note that this is not a hands-on class but a demonstration, so sit back, relax, and enjoy as Shelly demonstrates four of her favorite soup and salad recipes from the new book, including Carrot–Orange–Ginger Soup with Green Tahini, with a variation, Savory Sesame–Carrot Oatmeal; Roasted Root Vegetable & Dumpling Soup; and Winter Farro Salad with Agrodolce Sauce.
We’ll have tastings of Shelly’s prepared soup and salad dishes throughout the evening, followed by a book signing, as Every Season is Soup Season will be available for purchase.
You'll leave the BAKE! demonstration with not only satisfied tastebuds, but also Shelly’s four cookbook recipes to make at home and, hopefully, a signed cookbook.
Meet the Instructor
Shelly Westerhausen Worcel is the celebrated author of Vegetarian Heartland: Recipes for Life’s Adventures (Chronicle Books, 2017); the bestselling Platters and Boards: Beautiful, Casual Spreads for Every Occassion (Chronicle Books, 2018); and the new Every Season Is Soup Season: 85+ Souper-Adaptable Recipes to Batch, Share, Reinvent, and Enjoy (Chronicle Books, 2023). She’s also the blogger and photographer behind Vegetarian Ventures (www.vegetarianventures.com), where she's been developing recipes and documenting her cooking and outdoor adventures since 2011.
