Fantasy Camp for Home Bakers

Parents drop off the kids for some hands-on learning & fun, then pick them up and enjoy tasting what they made. We know these valuable kitchen skills will come in handy for years to come and inspire a new generation of bakers.

You’ll leave BAKE! With our recipes, the knowledge to recreate them at home, all the food you made in class and great coupons.

Kids Camp - Advanced Baking

For kids ages 12-14.

Has your child already been to our basic camp or has a flair for baking at home? In this class we'll cover a variety of baking techniques including shaping doughs, knife skills, and a little decorating. You’ll make soft pretzels and cheese dip, brioche bread, fruit danish, chicken noodle soup (make your own noodles and practice knife skills), rustic Italian bread, angel food cake, a buttercream decorated cake, New York style pizza, baguettes, grissini (crispy breadsticks), Sky’s the Lemon Cookie, and Gimme S’more tarts with torched meringue. This half day, week-long also includes a tour of Zingerman's Bakehouse.

Kids Camp - Baking Basics

For kids ages 10-12.

In this class, we'll teach a variety of basic baking techniques including following a recipe, using a scale and mixer, and kneading doughs. You’ll bake cornbread, cinnamon rolls, Bakehouse white bread rolls, mac and cheese (make your own pasta and cheese sauce), cheesy breadsticks, chicken and biscuits (chicken pot pie filling with biscuit topping), chocolate cookies, focaccia bread, a fruity upside-down cake, and mini cherry pies. This half-day, week-long camp also includes a tour of Zingerman's Bakehouse.

Kids Camp - Dinner Series

For kids age 13-15.

Day 1                                                                                   

Fresh spaghetti pasta with marinara sauce, focaccia bread with parmesan and rosemary, and chocolate biscotti cookies. Learn these advanced skills: pasta dough rolling and cutting, stovetop cooking, and bread shaping.

Day 2

Chicken pot pie, mixed green salad with sliced cucumbers, carrot roses, ranch dressing, and homemade croutons, and chocolate chip cookies. Learn these advanced skills: stovetop cooking, forming pie dough, and knife skills.

Day 3

Quiche with cheddar and caramelized onions, crusty rolls and herb butter, and a meringue cookie. Learn these advanced skills: mixing pie dough, bread shaping and scoring, and stovetop cooking.

Day 4
Chicago-style, deep dish pizza, oven-roasted veggies, fruit cobbler with a drop-biscuit topping. Learn these advanced skills: knife skills and dough handling.

Day 5
Urfa Turkey Chili, cheesy cornbread, and cupcakes. Learn these advanced skills: stovetop cooking and decorating cupcakes.

Kids Camp - Teen Cake Decorating

For kids age 14-17. Calling all teens who want to learn the ins and outs of decorating cakes for any occasion! In this 2-day, 4-hour long class they'll learn how to make our delectable buttermilk cake, a light and airy Swiss vanilla buttercream, and our delicious made-from-scratch rolled fondant. 

Day 1                                                                                   

Bake a vanilla buttermilk cake, make vanilla Swiss buttercream, and create your own fondant.

Day 2

Fill, crumb coat and frost your cake. Learn how to decorate with different tips and how to use fondant to make shapes and designs. 

Your teen will leave with a two-tiered decorated cake, our recipes, the knowledge to recreate them at home, and great coupons.
